I had to grow tough skin, conceal the pain from deep within.
Did you ever think about me, or how I might be? considering I am part of your family tree.
An absent father is the only word I can use to describe you.
Where were you when your three children needed you?
Never took part in the school run, I can never match you with the word fun.
How can I love a man I barely even know? You got up and left quick; opposite to slow.
So, I made a choice and a change, to never live a life deranged,
by thinking what it would be like to know you, or if you being absent was the best thing to do.
Yes, I hear about you at times and they say I look like you too,
On the other hand, you don’t know anything about me; you have no clue.
One day you will see me, then what would you say; what would you do?
